The SC63×300 Standard Pneumatic Air Cylinder is a heavy-duty double-acting pneumatic actuator designed for industrial automation, conveyor systems, packaging machinery, material handling equipment and general pneumatic applications.

Featuring a 63 mm bore and 300 mm stroke, the SC63×300 provides strong and controlled linear movement over a long travel distance. Its robust SC-series tie-rod construction combines a durable aluminium cylinder barrel, strong end covers and steel tie rods for reliable operation in repetitive industrial environments.

The double-acting design uses compressed air for both extension and retraction, providing positive movement in both directions for pushing, pulling, positioning, clamping and automated machine functions.

Typical Applications

Suitable for industrial automation, conveyor systems, packaging machinery, material handling equipment, clamping systems, product positioning, pushing and pulling mechanisms, pick-and-place equipment, assembly machinery, sorting systems, production lines and general pneumatic machinery.

Double-Acting Operation

The SC63×300 uses compressed air to control movement in both directions.

Supplying compressed air to one side of the piston causes the rod to extend, while supplying air to the opposite side causes it to retract.

A suitable pneumatic directional or solenoid valve can be used to control cylinder movement. Flow-control valves may also be installed to adjust extension and retraction speed.

Theoretical Output Force

At approximately 0.5 MPa operating pressure, the 63 mm bore cylinder provides approximately 156 kgf theoretical extension force.

Actual available working force will normally be lower due to internal friction, pressure losses, load alignment and other operating conditions. An appropriate safety factor should be used when selecting the cylinder for machinery.

Installation Recommendations

Use clean, filtered compressed air together with pneumatic tubing and fittings rated for the required operating pressure.

Ensure the cylinder is correctly aligned with the moving load and avoid excessive side loading on the piston rod. Confirm the required force, stroke, operating pressure, cycle rate and mounting arrangement before installation.

Note: Dimensions are based on the supplied SC63×300 reference configuration and should be treated as reference dimensions. Verify critical dimensions on the actual product before fabrication or permanent installation.
