SC63×200 Standard Pneumatic Air Cylinder – 63mm Bore × 200mm Stroke – Double Acting
The SC63×200 Standard Pneumatic Air Cylinder is a heavy-duty double-acting pneumatic actuator designed for industrial automation, conveyor systems, packaging machinery, material handling equipment, assembly machinery and general pneumatic applications.
Featuring a 63 mm bore and 200 mm stroke, the SC63×200 provides strong, smooth and controlled linear movement over a longer travel distance. The robust SC-series tie-rod construction provides excellent rigidity and durability for repetitive industrial operation.
Compressed air controls both extension and retraction of the piston rod, providing positive movement in both directions. This makes the SC63×200 suitable for pushing, pulling, positioning, clamping, lifting, sorting and other automated machine functions.
With a theoretical extension force of approximately 156 kgf at 0.5 MPa, this cylinder is well suited to applications requiring significantly more force than smaller-bore pneumatic cylinders.

Construction
Based on the supplied SC63-series configuration, the cylinder uses an aluminium barrel and end-cap construction with external steel tie rods. This construction provides a strong and rigid assembly while keeping overall cylinder weight relatively low. NBR-type pneumatic sealing is commonly used in this cylinder configuration.

Typical Applications
The SC63×200 is suitable for industrial automation, conveyor systems, packaging machinery, material handling, product pushing and transferring, clamping equipment, pick-and-place systems, assembly machinery, product positioning, sorting equipment, manufacturing machinery, production lines and general pneumatic equipment.
Double-Acting Operation
The SC63×200 is a double-acting cylinder, meaning compressed air is used to move the piston in both directions.
Supplying compressed air to one port causes the piston rod to extend. Supplying air to the opposite port causes the piston rod to retract.
The cylinder can normally be controlled using a suitable 5/2-way pneumatic solenoid valve or directional valve. Pneumatic flow-control valves may also be fitted to control extension and retraction speed.
Output Force
At approximately 0.5 MPa operating pressure, the SC63×200 provides approximately 156 kgf theoretical extension force based on the supplied SC63-series specification.
Actual usable force will be lower than the theoretical figure because of seal friction, pressure losses, load alignment and other operating conditions. An appropriate engineering safety factor should therefore be applied when selecting the cylinder for machinery.
Installation Recommendations
Use clean, filtered compressed air and pneumatic tubing and fittings rated for the required system pressure. The cylinder should be mounted securely and aligned with the direction of travel.
Avoid excessive side loading or angular loading on the piston rod, as this may accelerate wear of the rod, seals and internal components.
Flow-control valves are recommended where controlled cylinder speed is required. Confirm the required load, stroke, cycle rate, operating pressure and mounting arrangement before installing the cylinder into production machinery.
