Double-Acting Operation
The SC100×300 has two pneumatic air ports. Compressed air supplied to one side of the piston causes the rod to extend, while air supplied to the opposite side causes it to retract.
A suitable pneumatic directional or solenoid valve can be used to control cylinder movement. Flow-control valves may also be installed to regulate extension and retraction speed.
Installation Recommendations
Use clean, filtered compressed air and pneumatic tubing and fittings rated for the required operating pressure.
Ensure the cylinder is correctly aligned with the load and avoid excessive side loading on the piston rod. Before installation, confirm the required force, stroke, operating pressure, cycle rate and mounting arrangement for the application.
